:smoking: I think we have some good kids coming through. Don't worry about the result. Just look for individual efforts and there are lots.

1 4 7 40

at the half

Hard to believe we're only 15 pts down. I watched Geelong a bit last year and often thought their one 'weakness' was faffing about with the ball when they could be shooting for goal. Not selfish enough. With the amount of ball they've had tonight, they should be miles in front.

Probably the same as when the opposition kick a point.....ie. nothing.

Kickout strategy is non existent - it's like a training drill when we kick a point or we bomb the ball in and they win possession down there. No pressure at all.

Anderson has been in very poor form to start the year off...he shouldn't be calling for the ball if he can't hit basic targets.

Russell on the other hand has been pretty good, took a nice courageous mark as well as hitting targets.

Hi Taff, I'm in Denmark... So guess that is about as far away from Oz that you can get...

anderson is not a back pocket nor a half back flanker - uncomposed and terrible awareness/disposal coming out of defence

should be added to the indigenous small forward squad

Kruezer very quiet - not much gametime? Not a ruckman yet - not a great leap and watches opposing ruck too much

Ellard showed toughness

Jamieson very good

Garlett shows huge promise

Hampson all arms and legs

Good pressure by undermanned Blues - cats stuffing around

Wiggins, Russell and Bently are a step below the level we need to be at.

This season there can be no excuses for poor disposal, missed shots at goal and dropped marks.

Don't worry about Taylor getting 20 possessions...he's not hurting us, just a sign of how crap modern football can be. Better him to be getting 20 than Ablett, Corey or Milburn off half back.

Joseph has been excellent and he'd want to perform after putting the rinse through the hair during the week  Good on him!

Geez Cloke...looks like he can make it at times and at others he looks miles off.

One thing we're really poor at is deciding when to go at the man with the ball and when to sag off and cover the guy in a more dangerous position. So many times they have a guy running off half back, but away from the corridor and we follow him only to see the ball handballed over the top to a guy running through the middle....or we have two guys run to the man with the ball and leave another opponant free.

Overall you have to love the endeavour we're playing with. Keep it up boys!

jesus

who put salt in your cup of tea fellas.

ive flower rapted with our game so far. very good effort from a few of the lads.

dare i say it

garlett >>>>> yarren

lol, im sure yarren is going to be gun, but garlett, is going to be one of those players everyone goes - how the hell did he get through the draft. very good pick up by us.

if there is only one thing, well two things i take out of the nab cup,

its jacobs and garlett - very happy with their performances, johnson looks quality

and young joseph, has done everything asked of him.

well that is more than two.

come on guys, lets take the nab cup for what it is :)

im liking what im seeing, we are sticking with geelong, who do have a few out granted, but they still have alot of guns, and we are pretty much holding our own, the difference, as i suspect will be the case in season proper, geelong and very very good and clean ball movers. we have butchered it a couple of times.

JR and Hadley doing well in the midfield. JR appears to play better when let lose.

AJ top job on Ablett.

CJ playing well, as is Jamo and T-Bird.

Fisher is playing alot better this week, glad I held my thoughts

Everyone is doing well considering what they are up against.

Only criticism has been Grigg's kicking so far.

We are chasing and tackling hard putting great pressure on Geelong's ball carry, however they are too well drilled under pressure and somehow escape :banghead:
