My wife and I are having an argument if we should try to win or not.... Man this draft system absolutely is screwing with our minds...

Couldn't agree more - I don't like the situation in any way shape or form but on balance I really want us to lose... :?

Me too but the difference is enormous and I'd prefer to be the team everyone has to negotiate with at the end of the year than the one who's second in line.

I think people forget this. It's not just that it might allow you to push a player through to the PSD - it's that you might upset the plans of a number of clubs.

Fairy-floss will do that when applied to an apparently professional sporting organisation.

This is what I mean - it's not about the national draft - it's about the threat that you can make an offer to a player and use the threat of the PSD with both clubs knowing full well that if they don't come to an arrangement that the player will go to us for nothing.

with you GWS on the leverage that end position will give you in negotiations. so agree on that point.

i just lose the argument when we believe it will deliver players that to some degree are out of our control and whom we really don't know how they will mature in 2-3 years time.....particularly when victory brings with it it's own rewards to a club scrapping the barrel.....let alone the feeling it gives me :P

As I said - I'm not happy about it but when you add together:

1. Murphy (or at least the possibility of him)
2. Trading position and spilling other clubs lists
3. First pick in the PSD regardless.

It's a huge difference between that and the remains.
