Not so much Lappin but we have to start putting things into perspective.
Some of the Lions guns are getting much less than Campo and Lappin want.
The club doesnt mind paying Lappin inparticular more $$$$ than other clubs would but not at the cost of 3 years.
Campo is lucky he has a mate who is chairman of selectors cos id be turtfing the ratboy out first and paying Lappin, Campos offer.
Livo played ok considering he wouldnt have been the ideal match up against Shotgun Williams.
having sat through yestyerday's debacle (at one stage the entire crowd around me - irrespective of support - was yelling to the players "KICK IT" and cheered as one when someone did), I think we need to keep Lappin. He has the samarts that takes him where the ball is. I know he didn't play well, but he found the footy when he went forward and was better than that perenial turnover Queen Houlihan, and the clueless Camporele.
The latter's decision making processes are currently up the spout entirely. Yesterday streaming out of Defence, with no options ahead of him, he changed direction and kicked into the middle of the ground where there was 4 to 1 against us. Resulting turnover a goal. And he could've kept running hard, if he'd chosen to.
Houlihan should go. if we can get something for him great. I'm sorry but his 24 years and 100 games of experienc count for shit when he kicks it on on the full/to the opposition/as some sort of floating pieces of shit that ends up no where.
As for Livo, too easily outbodied by Williams ( i saw it thre or four times, certainly twice in the last quarter when the game was there to be stolen).
Ok, he's got one year, and I agree he has advanced this year and we have no other replacement for him, so lets keep him.
Guess that last bit speaks volumes about where we are.
