Even though the AFL clubs are meant to be some of the most professional sporting clubs in the land they all still rely on the labour of an army of volunteers.

I reckon everyone who contributes to a Carlton forum is also a volunteer for the Footy club.

Your contributions make places like this an interesting and fun place to visit.

Your contributions make many people come back again and again to read about all the aspects of the club they love.

The forums not only provide an outlet but also create a buzz throughout the supporter base, we ride the highs and lows together. I am only guessing but I imagine between all the Carlton forums many new members to the CFC are recruited purely as a result of their existence. Part of the reason for CFC's record membership numbers, no doubt.

So to all of the contributors out there, THANK YOU. Pat yourselves on the back you are all volunteers for the mighty Carlton Football Club.
