By all means remember their great performances but ffs the reality is we are a clear last for a reason. WE & THEY NEED TO MOVE ON.

Tell that to the club Budzy and ask them why Blackwell, Hartlett, Russell, Bentick and the Irishman are not getting 1st Grade experience and the has beens are still playing every week .I dont buy this crap that their bodies aren't big enough yet. If that was the case why is Eddie Betts getting a game. What have we got to lose by playing these kids . It might even give the supporters something to look forward too.

The club is a shambles top to bottom and the media and opposition supporters are having a feild day at our expense

I saw this house once, Really nice,..although quite a bit overdone...clowns on stencils in the "kid's room" lace around everything....little brass nipple things on every light switch....anyway two ditsy women who looked like they had stepped off a Laura Ashley catalogue fought tooth and nail over ity at an auction and paid way over what it was worth......

All I could think about was that was started as a nice house, now I wouldn't even piss on ...and.....

the only winner in the whole scenario was the guys selling.

BV you cannot treat people like that. This isn't the first time Collo has opted to take the contract off the table at the last minute.

I want Lappin, Campo & Whitnall to stay. I want them to sign at an affordable figure of around 300k as i believe that to be a good deal for all, but the reality is some might get a better deal elsewhere, some cannot work under Pagan and some might not have an option and stay.

No Problems, but lets get this shit out of the media and stop turning our club into a circus, treat our current players better and get on with restoring the club.

I can only wonder what other players even contemplating coming to Carlton are thinking after reading some of this stuff, let alone talking to some of our players.

Now let me get this right, you think they should be signed on for $300k.This sounds like the figure that the Club are suggesting yet is seemingly not attractive to the Players.Given that their current payments are reportedly north of 500k it seems that you and the Club are in agreement that this is far too much. How then can you be so critical of the Clubs attitude?

One question you have not answered is what length of contract for both Lappin and Campo?

Might it be that it is 2years which again would put you in agreement and thus makes your arguement against the Management even more foolish?

As for the public nature of the dealings one would have to be extremely naive not to put this directly at the feet of the Player Managers..

Then again, it is you who is Mr Negative

Surrey, as seen in the Herald Sun yesterday, and posted here on the forum

Carlton last night made it clear Lappin had at no stage agreed to a deal, only to have it withdrawn.

Former Blue Daniel Harford, who on the weekend slammed the club's treatment of Lappin, yesterday stressed there was never an offer ready to sign on the table.

In an interview on Triple M on Saturday night, Harford said he was astonished a deal was taken off the table. Harford said he thought Lappin would not be at the club next season.

Malouf yesterday contacted Harford.

"He's advised us the comments were misconstrued," Malouf said.

"He is not in any position to know exactly what is going on.

"Matthew is upset about the article.

"Our conversations and negotiations with him (Lappin) will remain confidential.

"It's disappointing to see that sort of information in a public forum.

"It's normal negotiation and argy-bargy – you may stop and start."

Yeh right, believe Malouf.
Seriously ofcourse Harford retracted the statement, what else would you have him say after the club put the hard word on him. Anyway as mentioned, Collo has done this before, seems that everyone is ignoring this fact and doesn't the last sentence just say it all.

I would offer Lappin 3 years as he deserves it.
I would sign Whitnall & Campo up for 2.

I hope this makes sense and as I have said many a times, it's the way things are being carried out that I don't like. I thought we lost the "dictatorship" attitude a few years ago, but boy where we wrong.

The fact that players contracts are even been discussed in the public arena is pretty poor form and I think it is more indicative of player management putting public pressure on the club.

I mean you leak these stories to the press and they have a field day with them. It is sensational news. And we all get sucked into it.

I just hope that all the players at the club that want to play for Carlton are there next year and those that don't, aren't.

Even from 10,000 miles away you can see that there is something fundamentally wrong with the game plan, the player/coach relationship, the off-field infrastructure and the leaders of our great club.

I think that we have to accept one of two things, either the coach goes or a shitload of players go.

I really had faith that this year would be an improvement on the past, but can see now that even our talented players aren't performing as they should.

At the start of the year Pagan labled our inconsistency on being a young side, now we are consistent and our performance is blamed on talent. It sounds like everything is outside of Pagan's control. What does he take responsibility for?

Ok, So I went off on a huge tangent, but I don't post that much and this has been building.

Quite simply he is in our top 5 players at the moment. He has had a fantastic year and I wouldn't be surprised to see him win our B&F.

Why get rid of one of your best players? We are supposed to be building a team not tearing one down.

And we couldn't sign Fevola fast enough. Pulease, if Fevola is the future of our club then God help us.

It's his preparation that shits me.
Was going great guns up until the end of the Wizzer and then all of a sudden he let it all go and ballooned out again.

Have a look at the pic on the back of the HUN today.
He looked very wide in that pic.

That may be true pj but how would you rate his season? I'd say that overall he has been pretty good, he's playing out of position in defence and not doing too badly and at times he's look dangerous up forward.

OK he's not justifying 500k a season and if he's at the club next season he'll be on probably around half of that.

Cripes signing Campo on a 2 year deal i just want him out of the club ... out of all the players in the senior line up he is the most negative and if we can get some currency for him in Adelaide .... then i would grab that .... Lappin i think will get sorted out but i agree his contract is out in the open due to player managers creates good news especially for the club floundering at the bottom...

Whitnall even though i still like Lance but know he could be som much more .. i think he would be better in a new enviroment and believe that he will be gone and if he then kick starts his careeer then so be it .. There have been many players who have restarted there career at another club and in Lances case i think it will be the case or the end depending what he does.

His season, to date, has been good.
I might be a tad bias here, but I feel he has put in over the past month or so to boost his trade value and attract other clubs - see today's article in the HUN.

And furthermore, in that article his management will put forward a counter offer to Carlton for more money than the original 300K they have recently offered. He doesn't deserve any more than 300K and is cheeky for even asking for it.

Agree with you on the money issue and so does the club, obviously. No argument there, clearly if he's around next season he'll be on siginificantly less than 500k and rightfully so.

It's easy to be cynical about Lance and to a certain degree it might have some merit. But have you considered pj that Lance is playing reasonably because he is actually a talented footballer?

I have no doubt, that with the right mindset and application (as seen in the Wizzer) that Lance can play some good football.

Unfortunately, he is unable to maintain that fitness.

At Carlton he is being asked to play CHF as the second forward, whereas I strongly believe he is more suited to be the 3rd forward in a forward line.
