Some people's idea of foreplay is saying "are you awake?"

yeah they've been okay, but they're not the type of players that will begin to dominate a game and get Carlton not just competitive but back to a power. Waite, Fisher, and hopefully Walker can become elite players.
Carazzo will probably become a good ordinary player though.

A good ordinary poster will tell you that.

If his naural poaition is HBF then when he is down in form Pagan should play him there. Still Walker has been my fav player since he came to the club and I still think he will become good one day... He certainly has shown glimpses of what he is capable of. It's often hard to remember he was the 2nd youngest draftee a few years back. He will captain the club one day and be remebered as a Carlton great and have his name engraved underneath SOS's.

Chris Judd = Adam Gilchrist

Everybody wants the next one, but he is a once in a generation.

Look at Luke Hodge - he's taken 3 years to become a superstar.

Andrew has plenty of time to make it - AND he will.

I reckon he is doing fine. He has run with all the great players this year - Judd, Ackermanis, etc, and he will learn. DP's going to turn him into something special.

Was about to say he played a great game for the 'Ants today but was beaten by Shaggy.
He was clearly a class above most of the blokes running around in the VFL today.

I thought Walkz played really really well today (my B.O.G) and sang well Thursday.
He's a superstar and all rounder. And looks alright too.

I'm very happy with Mr. Walker's progress and see him as being integral to our future.
Regards Pedro.

Maybe he is not the sort of person/player to walk out, and is in for the long haul.

Walker will be right..he needs time for his football skills to catch up with his athletic ability....it happens quicker in a good team so we will have to wait a couple of years and be patient.

Judd is a player of freakish ability and should not be used as a reference for every early draft pick...you get a Judd every ten years not every year.
As we have seen with Luke Ball and Luke Hodge its easy to dismiss players when using Judd as a reference...both are excellent footballers who are probably every bit as good as Judd but are only now getting the plaudits they deserve.....Judds sleaky style and acceleration from a standing start makes him a better looking player but Ball and Hodge are becoming equally effective.
Walker is also the victim of a very strong era of quality early draft picks..watched Cooney and Griffen tonight Vs Brisbane...both are quality players and getting media attention because they are playing exciting footy with a young exciting team on the way up...Walker on the other hand is tagging..playing dour defensive football and doing his apprenticeship the hard way in a team that is at rock bottom and with supporters demanding he be another messiah......give the lad a chance and appreciate all the circumstances..

walker will be a good player. How good remains to be seen.He needs to improve his kicking and he sometimes turns the ball over too easily. Will take the mark of the year at some strange, but doesn't hold enough contested marks.Harshly treated by the selection group for the Richmond game.Wasted playing for the twos.Shows plenty of ticker in the tough tagging contests, particularly against Akermanis.2006 could be a biggy.

Look i was disappointed to see Walker get dropped.
Even Carey was dropped by Pagan at some stage.
I thought while watching him play for the Ants that it was a great decision because the pressure was off.
He just looked totally refreshed

walker will become an elite talent.

IMO - i think its unfair to pass judgement on players until they have reached the 75 - 100 game mark. Its not until then you really know what you have.

Indeed, look at Livingston, his first 20 games werent flash, but he is starting to be super reliable for us down back with his last 20 games. By the time he reaches the 75-100 game mark i think he will become one of the first on the sheet every week.

Walker is the same - we expect too much of players when they are still young (walker is 19) and has only played 20-30 games. I wont judge Walker until 2007 or 2008 to see if he has been a failure or success.

Comparing him to Judd is unfair also - i cant recall any player ever, coming into the game like he has. He isnt once in a generation, he is a once only player i.e. Bradman type.
