I think the club will persist with Norman. I don’t think he is just limited to the backline. I would like to see both he and Waite spend time on the wing. That way they can be a marking target and both have good pace and ok disposal.

De-list Norman and pick him up as a rookie, I think he qualifies at under 23. This is his last chance to play AFL footy - take it or leave it.

We know he's got the ability, needs another year to prove he's not a caveman.

Good idea Duke. If he dont pull his head in after that send him on his way.

One reason I dont want to lose Normo is that I just know Sheeds will pick him up and turn him into the next Fletcher and Scum fans will give me sh*t for it for the next 20 years.

Norman is gone. When asked what's going on with him & why he isn't getting a run the coaching staff quoted as saying he is in ga ga land.

No sign of Karl in the seniors or looking like getting in...Livo wasnt flash against the tigers or Hawthorn but their isnt a lot of tall defenders going around and I think Pagan is trying to develop him out of having to...leg speed is an issue..he does ok in the one on one push and shove stuff but gets caught out on the lead...I think he needs some sprint work as well as bulking up a bit more...Mal Michael took a while to make it and it was playing in a better team that helped him develop quicker....maybe Livo with more games and some better players around him will improve also....one year is all he has so he needs to start getting some scalps soon..Hartlett and Aisake are waiting in the wings and I think Karl will end up at Essendon* or Wang Rovers...Sheedy likes his problem children and I reckon he is the type who might gamble on Karl...

If Sheedy picks him up & straightens him out into a good player I'll be mighty pissed off.
If he's still contracted for next season I'd keep him. Martin Pike turned out allright after a rocky start.

What are all these stories that people have heard about norman and which coaching staff said norman was in gaga land - there is all this specualtion and conjecture without anyone actually pointing to something - please enlighten me?

Norman is streets ahead of livo in talent - i think everyone accepts that.

Why wouldnt we play norman in the ones, let him play well, increase his trade value, and get some draft picks for him - 192cm fast defenders arent dime a dozen!!! we aint gonna get anything with him playing for bullants.

I wouldnt let the geelong match influence your view on norman - he is and has been much better than that this year and last!

Bozman,

Have a look at any of my other posts. At all times I am fully supportive of Carlton players, I have never slagged a player at any stage. I am not simply having a shot at Karl for the sake of it. I too recognise what he could have been had he applied himself.

The coaching staff have recently stated categorically that Norman fails to follow instructions, fails to be accountable for his man and that he is in ga ga land. I can't provide any more detail, I can simply go by the record of my past posts.

I think we should keep Norman, we don't have a lot of defenders so why not give him more time? and I agree that Norman has more talent than Livo.

When did Livingston start spelling his name with an 'e' on the end? Seen it a bit around here.

I think its pretty obvious who will be kept and who battling to keep their place.

Livo will never be confused with SOS but he does his job and please don't confuse Livo giving away bad free kicks with Livo being raped week after week by the 3 blind mice.

Hallelujah!!! Don't forget "and pillaged".

Livo gets absolutely creamed by the umpires who really enjoy "pinging" a low profile defender as it is less controversial than "pinging" a Fletcher or a Michael or a Silvagni. 8)

I think he added it when Denis added his 2nd "n".

He suffers from having no real reputation as evidenced in the Saints game. Gehrig was allowed to grab him around the head, pull his jumper, hold him away from the contest etc etc, then as soon as Livo sneezed in Gehrig's general viscinity he was penalised.
Hopefully the umpires will one day judge him on his merits instead of automatically thinking "There's no way that young fella could outbody Fraser without infringing".

Arent too many scalliwags coming good these days.
Those days are over....too much at stake nowadays.

Personally i hope Sheedy takes Norman.. (preferably in a trade ).. only a guy with a massive ego has confidence to turn around someone who is [REDACTED] in the head like Norman...ultimately will fail ....

Go get him Sheeds.. i wanna laugh...
