Is being "uncarlton" like as bad as being "unaustralian"?

Denis Pagan keeps going on and on and on about how we need more elite talent and how he'd be doing so much better if he had a Riewoldt or Brown in his team. I think he knows we need as many top picks as possible and will be doing everything within his power to get us these picks.

If that were true Collo would have sacked him long ago.

wanting to lose???? hmmm. weigh it up.
win 2 games that are meaningless in the grand scheme of things and get 1 top kid.

win 1 or none and 2 of the top kids.

compare it to st.kilda. not quite the same situation but u get the gist. get riewoldt and koschitzke or just get riewoldt and watch kosi go to the pies. getting 2 top end picks as opposed to one is a huge difference. it doubles you chances of getting a star player.

so yes it may be nice to have a couple of frivolous wins, but in 5 years time the losses of the 2 games wont mean jack scheissen, but the loss of a potential star will hurt. lose 3 of the next four and you wont even remember it in a few years time. lose (just a random name) marcus drum and you will definately remember winning these games..... they will probably just be for the wrong reasons.

I will be feeling extremely depressed about our future premiership chances if we win another 2 games this season

I have followed the Blues long enough to know that this is the hardest hurdle the Blues have had to face and anybody should realise that for the long term good of the club that the best senario is for us to finish last. This has been the only time for 35 years i have followed the Blues that i have ever felt that they have to finish last and i think that if the Blues learn and mange things better in the future i will never think like this again. I know people have suggested we do this for another year or 2 well i dont follow that. This is the year we are in a position which has set us to a path that makes last the most viable choice for us. call it just circumstance that has put us in a position where we have ocupied bottom position for the last 2 months. With some of the financial hurdles that have hit us our tougher stance on contracts and how we have been travelling as a uncompetative outfit .. Last position is by far our best result for this season.. Next Year i hope we come out fresh with more stability and new commitment clean slate... The progress of some of our kids blend in with some good pickups in the draft and trade should make us far more competetive for 2006.

The theory we had that DP is conducting the seasons results may not be completely correct ... i think we need to go higher i think it is more instruction from Collo for where the club is going in regards to where we finish this year. But thats another spin on it .. Anyway if the hierachy are following the road then i support it for 2005 but 2006 we have to work doubly hard to be competative from round 1

will Hawthorn be cutting their wrist that they got Luke Hodge and not Chris Judd?

or

St.kilda becuase they got Luke Ball and not Chris Judd?

the problem i have with all of this is.

1. you guys want to lose
2. you guys are building this kid up and the expectations on him he will never be able to reach. He is already a Luke Ball, Nick Revolt, Chris Judd and Ben Cousins rolled into one. He is already being built up as the greatest footballer the world has ever seen.

Best Case Scenario - We get picks 1 & 3 and the 1st in the PSD
Most Likely Scenario - We get picks 2 & 3 and the 2nd in the PSD
Worst Case Scenario - We get pick no 5 and 3rd in the PSD

Nope - i want to win as many games as we can.

@#$%&! me im over it all - the sooner they get rid of the PP and introduce a lottery the sooner we can get back to following football and wanting to win. PP is the biggest flower joke known to man.

TO have any supporter of any team wanting to lsoe to get a PP is beyond embarrasing. Its a flower disgrace.

Well Prez i know for a fact that the Hawks were very unhappy at not getting Judd but they of course wont say anything out in the open.. Also they were very pissed last year at not nabbing Delideo and i know that they will not win more than 5 games this season end of story .. i also know that if we go above them that they will not win another game..

Yes maybe like us some supporters want to finish second last but i can tell you now if the Hawks where sitting where we are they would make sure that they didnt go past us that is fact Prez and a reality of the draft and how the system works ... hopefuly next year it is changed

Prez, weak draft means we get jack scheissen if we don't get jack scheissen and fast.

let's just get it straight for a moment. it is not that people want to lose. no-one wants to lose. we just don't want to win. you may say its the same thing but there is a huge difference. i agree they need to get rid of PP... and even the last is first draft order as well. you are right. but at the moment this is the system, and it would be outrageous to continue to buck the system. that is what got us into this bloody mess in the first place. embrace the system. milk it. i'm not saying that pick 1 is the be all and end all. i'm happy to finish 15th. just don't want to lose a second selection in the top 5. it is poposterous to even suggest that the club would be better off. it is quite simply insane to suggest that there is any advantage in doing so.

Different scenario, Scott.
None of those players were under the category of Father Son selection.

Why did they then overlook Griffen for Roughead? :? Similar types and like Shane Clayton I'd prefer Griffen.

We need the PP, we have the shitest list, winning more games this year means we will be in the bottom for a few more seasons. I know winning is great, but I am getting really sick of seeing us at the bottom of the ladder. No point of winning meaningless games.

But having said that, I think we are going to win the next two matches, given that the way port and pies are playing, and given that we are playing good footy.

Your a gentlemen Bluebernz and got the protocol right, first welcome ......... then insult. I made the mistake of insulting first. :P

Good on you locke, although if Agro Junior, showed up at his Bapou's house with a "Hammer & Sickle" he would be disowned. :P
