Hasn't been seen training for a week or two...does anyone know what sort of injury he has?

He had his knee strapped when I saw him 2 weeks ago.

He ran smoothly enough, but every now and then after running 200's he favoured the knee, but only for a few steps. It really didn't seem much, but it was strapped sure enough.

No doubt there's at least a knee situation going on, and hopefully its just a mild ligament strain and Cordy is managing it.

Hendo is such an unknown quantity... was really looking forward to seeing him in the NAB Cup to get a gauge. Hope he's ok.

Shouldn't this be reported about in the papers?

Surely it has something to do with an alcohol-related incident.

We watched the Blues Lions game from the first half of the 09 season.

Henderson was 19? 20? and playing in the backline.

Took some good marks
Showed good acceleration
Good handballs to running players.
Good short passes to position
Very good long passes to position
Cool in the crisis
No fear

What's he going to be like when he's 21-22?
Delicious I reckon.

I just hope his fitness base is right up there.
It must be because he seemed pretty fit to me other than the knee bandage.
He and we just don't need him to have an interupted 2010 preseason.
His fitness base will determine how his season starts.
Fingers crossed, because he's a good one.

He seems to have bulked up a bit, I just hope his legs/feet are coping with the extra weight.

Can't wait to see Hendo in action, still can't believe we managed to snare him in the Fev trade. :smoking:

There is so much pressure on this poor kid especially as he'll always be known as Fev's replacement. To be honest i am not expecting a great deal from him as surely he would have shown more at Brisbane. I hope i am wrong though !

I am expecting quite a bit from him in 2 or 3 years. He was an exciting talent as a junior and didn't really do much wrong at Brisbane where he had to learn how to play a defensive role. That experience bodes well for his career at Carlton where he will predominantly play forward. He's a smart kid and a good leader. Lachie turned 20 in December. Fevola turned 20 in 2001. I can't recall Fev doing much at all back then.

..exactly, Fev was a 'late bloomer' if anything.. ..Hendo's shown plenty i reckon, as a youngster.. ..the game he played CHB against the dawks had him gettin' well deserved praise.. .... ..the brions are well placed KPP wise, so it was always gonna be hard for him to cement a place in that team as a youngster, and i reckon he was doin' well to do just that.. ..make no mistake, the brions will rue tradin' Hendo in the future..

Knee injury that is minor, is the latest word

Of course whether that 'minor' line is a porky pie I don't know

Chances are though it is just minor, otherwise it would probably have hit the media by now

..in a roundabout way, except we got ourselves a much younger champion player, that positively influences the team [judd vs fev trades].. ..also, aside from the broken leg, Hendo's been more durable than mister Kennedy.. ....and comparing them at similar ages/stages of their development Hendo is a bit further ahead.. ..though i reckon Kennedy's gonna be a solid workhorse type CHF for weagles.. ..Hendo's more versatile, able to play CHB as well as CHF..

:? :? bulked up,must of seen something i have missed, garlett has bigger arms than Hendo atm..
was a training/weights session last friday and had a chat with the big man himself, has a slight strain to his knee, was limping and
is on quarterzone atm,but the old cliche was said to me....(I'll be right for round one)..lets hope hey..
Really needs to bulk up his upper body for a role down the forward line..
will find it hard against the big defenders, really needs to pump those weights in our new facility down at Royal Parade..

Will find it hard in the body-on-body contests if he loses his footing, but he has enough weight to throw himself around, and has the aerobic capacity to lead all match long.
