St Kilda traded quality in Lockett, Hall, Everitt for good draft picks, and look where they are now.
Bag them to shit if you want. But I'd rather Carlton be in the top 4.
St Kilda is the model we should be following. Its proven, its progressive.
Piss them both off, but if only one, piss of Lance this year.
St Kilda aren't where they are because they traded Lockett, Hall & Everitt. Sorry, I know the point you're trying to make, but it really irks me that this "myth" is thrown around. They traded Lockett over 10 years ago, I doubt that trade is paying off in 2005. Each of these 3 players wanted to leave, there was never any choice involved for St Kilda. It's just a classic example of St Kilda supporters and the media rewriting history. You say things often enough and people will take it as truth. The sole reason St Kilda are where they are is because of priority picks. THe main players in their team were drafted with early picks or through the threat of the first pick in the PSD. Just imagine where they would be if they still had Hall and Everitt - the thought doesn't bear thinking about.
But as I said, I do now what point you're making.
Anyway, sorry to digress, this isn't a St Kilda thread, it's Fev v Lance.
Keep Fev for mine. He's a matchwinner and we'll be screaming out for one of those in the future (fingers crossed).
If we trade Fev, I want them all gone - Lance, Campo and Lappin as well. If we're going to clean the slate with Fev, might as well do it properly.
