Oh dear Synners, you poor boy rewriting history again. Who qouted who? I just gave an opinion on leadership thats all.
One thing I do know is that leadership is not about ranting and raving.
Leadership is about setting the example, having a clear set of prinicples that you abide by. It is about providing guidence and advice to those less experienced than you. It is about providing encouragement and when needed a quiet word to those you are responsible for. It is about standing up for people when they are being derided. It is about doing the hard yards when everyone else is dropping off. It is about being humble and crediting others for success.
I have seen Kouta do all of these things time and again.
Is he the leader for the future, will he be around for our next Premiership? Even Kouta acknowledges he won't be. But he is the right leader for our club right now? Yes he is. Success is often built on the example set by those who went before.
Ok thaNK you for your opinion BM...
But how do you know he is the right leader??
who else has been tried???
See leadership goes all the way up.
And with leadership sometimes there is taking a risk.
Because when youre last you dont cling to everything you have been doing like clingging onto life itself.
You take a chance because with a chance comes reward...
Doing the same .. only achieves you stay static.
Kouta captain for another year means we have a guy who wont be there the year after that captain because were too frightened from doing something different.. and in stead holding onto a nothing captain for more of the same.
There has never been succesful leadership that was too shit scared to try anything different in the history of the world..!!!!
