The first issue with your point is getting those players mentioned wanting to come to the club, especially when we couldn't even attract Smith when we looked a lot better as a team.
Harry is only worth a goal or two? Well I strongly disagree with you as he's pretty much doing that now in his first year as a senior.
And finally, games are won in the midfield!
You also made the point that we would regret not taking Lukosius. What happens after 2 years and he wants to go home? Or what if we miss the next Joel Selwood or Andy McLeod?
Personally I'd rather the club take a goal kicking midfielder that can help contain the ball in our half of the ground or can link and hit targets when we are running off the half back line.
For me, this has to be a consideration.
Adelaide isn't my favourite city but those who live there all their lives seem to think it is OK.
We have been pretty lucky over the years with interstate players but that was before the days when they could win a flag at home and their family didn't have to cross the border every week to watch them play.
The AFL website is now saying Walsh is the #1 prospect (and he's Victorian). It's only one person't opinion but t shows that even the top end is a bitof a gamble as to who will be the best. I agree with the idea of selecting a mid. Unless we have a midfield that can create F50 entries, we could have Peter Hudson, Jezza and John Coleman in the forward line and still not get goals.
Jezza wasn’t exactly a stay at home Full Forward, when he played there, he would have found a way.
