Hope im wrong, but if Houla turns into an A grade midfielder then i will bare my you no what in Bourke St.Hasnt got the motor for it,hasnt got the toughness for it,hasnt got the mobility for it,and more importantly, hasnt got the ball winning ability for it.
Houla on his day,is a devastating HFFlanker oppurtunist who will shread you when he gets going.Thats what he is full stop.Plenty to whack in the guts before Houla. When Pagan talks about Houla in the guts i become seriopusly worried about our decision makers. Are they with it or are they in ga ga land.
Would have to agree. Houlihan is not even in my starting 22 any longer. He needs to win me over all over again (if you know what I mean). Watch him closely when you get a chance. I've noticed that when he is running forward and his man slips back on him, he points and yells out to other midfielders to run down and pick up his man. That really irks me especially when he is only 5 or 10 metres away himself but he just won't put in the extra effort to get there. He'd rather a midfielder help him out whilst he picks up that midfielders opponent instead. Now, I could live with it if it happened once in awhile but watch him closely, he does it constantly. What it also tells me, is that he isn't accountable enough for his man and EXPECTS others to cover his man when he has floated too far forward. Sorry, but for mine, he is too offensive and hasn't quite mastered the art of knowing how far is too far when you peel off your opponent. This has to irk his team mates and I'm told it does.
I also agree, that if Pagan is planning on running both Houlihan and Betts through the midfield, then it's just plain stupidity. Neither know how to stick to an opponent. God, I could just see the opposition rub their hands with glee if they saw Houlihan and Betts in the midfield. Please, I don't mind experimentation when there is some basis to it, but this is just plain suicidal.
