Hopefully the coaches dissect this game how it should be dissected. Our midfield is desperate for Walsh because it's not working at present and will probably take a loss for some to see it.
Why wait for a loss? Lets get cracking and figure this out.
What is it that you see Doc why our midfield isn't working?
Last year during the year we had Walshy playing HF and joining the midfield group from there. Then in Finals he became the midfield staple.
But we won games without Walshy against the best midfields last year: Demons, Pies Saints. Gosh we beat some of them without Walsh and Cerra.
So something was going right for us with and without Walsh last year. So what's changed since then?
Give us a hint. Maybe the hint is related to a huge drop in clearances. Only thing that has changed from last year's winning midfield scenarios is Pittonet was our preferred No 1 ruck.
Interesting is that the other glaring issue we have this year, is also related to this change in ruck is we have no 3rd marking target with SOS injured and TDK playing No 1 ruck.
With Pitto looking fit, I'm sure this is a change high on the MC's agenda. Is that what you're alluding to Doc?
I'm all for 2 rucks with SOS not being an option, for more reasons than the 2 scenarios above we need to fix.
I mentioned at half time yesterday I wish we had Clark Keating to come in and just bash and crash the centre bounce and ruck contests to get the ball where we wanted it, because it seems to me this year, including last week against NM, TDK's taps aren't to our advantage.
