After seeing the Miserable performances of most Players this year and Last year's Embarrasing showing against the Lions ( 60-0 ), there was always only TWO possible Options:
Option A: Sack the Coach and Retain most Senior Players OR
Option B: Retain the Coach and begin a Mass Exodus of Many Senior Players
Well, we have already seen one Senior player retire and not even wanting to finish off the year, 2 others already committed to leaving, another wanting a Trade out to Gold Coast before denying it all.
This tells me that the Club must have already made a call to Keep Voss for another year or so!! I hope I am Wrong.... There is no Logic but stupidity in keeping Voss. The Players have stopped playing for him along time a go, and he has failed again & again in altering his Game Style which is based on Winning Contested ball & nothing else.
Have you ever thought that the players come to the realisation that the list strategy taken in particular in last years draft trade period that the club had entered into another rebuilding phase and didn't back the current list.
There was a complete lack of depth built into the list and having 17 players under 21 entering the season meant if injury happened there was no depth to bring in.
No other club had this many young players and no other club went into the season with only 6 players aged between 22 and 25.
Adelaide has 16 in this age bracket.
If you are doc tdk JSOS you know it is 3 to 4 years before those younger players will be solid contributors to the team.
It doesn't leave a big window for success.
I think behind closed doors they are aware of this and maybe Vossy will be given the chance to build a playing style which he wants not working with a group that has been under Bolton and Teague where they were conditioned to accept losses.
If this is not the case Austin has sold Vossy down the drain
