Buckley is the ex-coach that intrigues me the most.
He's hungry. He still wants it. You can see it in him.
Whether he's the best man for the job, that's up to GW and CD, I've got no idea. I dare say GW wouldn't be a fan, given he's already gotten rid of him once.
It would also be hilarious if Buckley finally wins a Premiership at Carlton, of all places.

Firstly, I doubt he would work with GW again given he was the one who moved him on.
Secondly, we just got rid of a second time coach just to add another?
No thanks.
If we want to give ourselves the best chance for success then we need to bring in a new coach from a current successful system that understands the way the game is evolving and have some ideas on how it will progress.
Plus a past 'messiah' coach playing the Mark Williams role, mentoring and being a sounding board on game day in the coaches box.
But that alone won't be enough as we will still need on field leaders and ex premiership ones should be first on the list.

Wright sacked or demoted Buckley at Collingwood, so why would he hire him for Carlton ?
I dont see it…….
I hear what you're both saying, I mentioned it in my post too.
But as Cazz said, he's been at the cats learning their system. I'm sure he's added a few strings to his bow since he left Collingwood, even before he joined the cats. He hasn't been at home "rejuvenating", or whatever the other ex-coaches have been doing. He's been studying, working, getting better.
Does that mean I think he will get the job? No. But I dare say we will take a serious look at him, should he put his hand up. Even GW will probably be keen to see if he's a different coach than he was three years ago.
