You people are obviously blinded like my poor friend CR.
We were a Superpower.
We are currently nothing short of an amatuer side at best.
That doesn't mean I don't bleed blue
That doesn't mean unlike you who wished us to lose last year that I agreed with you
BUT
if anyone saw anything remotely real and positive in Saturday night's game they ought to go out and drink like that more often.
We aint great
We aint good
We are terrible
and
it's partially due to other circumstances
but it's largely due to the fact that we have 15 guys on our list that wouldn't get games with other clubs,
The players we lost have fallen by the wayside - murphy allan etc. or just aren't up to it - Karl
We might have recruited something special this year. Time will tell but don't write stuff like they are doing well when clearly they aren't.
They are trying - I'll give you all that coz they haven't got anything else to do
Have a real look at the side and realise that most of the guys just can't compete with 14 of the other clubs.
Sure we'll win a few but even when we were great we used to lo0se a few we shouldn't
Ok everyone is entitled to there opinion and Shhh i don't fully agree with you on this one or the Houla one also, but hey thats my opinion too and we should be actively expressing it, ( just as you are , freedom of speech )
Now what i would appreciate is the names of the 15 blokes who would not get a game with any other club. And when you do name these players please be kind enough to back it up with something.
An example might be:
Houla - Too Soft no club would want him

( i of course would disagree because as i have stated before all good clubs have soft players and Houla would get a game elsewhere, namely Essendon*, Collingwood Brisbane, Port Adel, Richmond, Hawthorn, Kangaroos, Sydney prob St Kilda also. Skilled outside players do well in good teams.
Now you might just happen to put Bannister on your list of 15 also. Well he shouldn't really count as he doesn't really get a game with us anyway.
So Shhh maybe you're getting what i'm sayingre the format of back up info.
Hit me with the list mate....

You want me to name 15 without including guys like Bannister who don't get picked.
That's exactly what I'm on about.
People ask where was Livo. Does it really matter?
Where was Chambers, Davies,Longmuir Scotland - (He played and went missing.) Sporn, Wiggo
WOULD any of these guys make a difference to the side.
I know Teague was missing but again how big as difference?
They were missing a guy by the name of Harley.
He would make a huge difference.
None of ours could really take a game.
Well Shhh i can appreciate your response and your concerns, but there are a few blokes that are on our list you shouldn't quite give up on who might ( and it is a might , be worthy risks for other clubs)
Each AFL list has squad players , blokes who don't really get games or game time but are still on AFL lists. I think that saying we have 15 might be a little extreme but we do probably have a few more than the better sides have.
Things will change they slowly are. The young guys on our list are exciting and they will develop together, and the squad players will drop off.
Remember it is about balancing our needs and addressing one problem at a time. Money helps too.
We are building again and being in a contruction zone means that things can be hazardess. Slowly slowly is the way the club is going. IMO the mistake was made early on when we chose to recruit too many recycles, we didn't need so many, and as a result we held back our progress.
I think you might be pleasantly surprised come seasons end 2006 when we do split the list and go hard for quality youth . But it should of been done earlier.
Anyway deep down we should be honest and accept that we are on the improve and anyone expecting miracles is a fool, but those surprised by miracles have faith.
I'll close by saying have faith mate.
