Like I said before GWS - Lets get rid of him then and lets see the affect it has on our membership. Lets have a great big arguement with Kouta and his manager at the end of the year . Get the miserable prick Collins to come out and say Kouta has given nothing to the club and is sucking the place dry. Lets go into trade week and offer him around like we have done with others . Lets set an example to the rest of the football community that we no longer take this shit at Carlton

Then let the members decide - How far down this year are we

Then lets see if a trade can be done

Then lets see if we can attract that big name out of contract player in the PSD.

and by the way when you make a decision to render a 20 million dollar asset worthless - Dont come crying poor mouth and blame it on the players

Who would trade for Kouta???

Noone in the right mind would want him and he couldnt make any team but ours.. and hes on 1/6 th of the salary cap.

As for Dirty Dave... i think you should advise Kouta to tear up the contract...just like you threatened he should...

If Kouta agreed to his manager going to the press on this one it is not good. He should resign the captaincy.

He should also stop his Pagan whingeing - it has a negative effect on his team mates.

If Kouta agreed to his manger's insults....no this couldn't be happening...

Quote:
"If Kouta agreed to his manager going to the press on this one it is not good. He should resign the captaincy. "

Speculation, inquisitive minds, possibilities, and probabilities....but if the unimaginable had happened then ...I can't believe I'm saying this...so be it, I agree ....after more discussion perhaps...I haven't thought this through....maybe it will set a bad example to the football commun

Kouta has enjoyed the security of tenure with Carlton Football Club over a a 13 year period , a luxury many in the workforce could not contemplate. He has served his employer well between 1995 to 2000 and in 2005. Premiership player, Grand Finalist, Player of the year, incredibly athletic footballer.

Kouta has given the CFC exemplary good service, as a player and as a Captain. As the face of Carlton he provides the club with a clean image which helps to counter the tarnished image from 2002. He's perceived as ' a really nice guy". He has also won a Best and Fairest. He has also led a team to a wooden spoon.

His service to the club over the last 5 years has been exemplary, mostly off the field though. I guess that half of his salary was for his marketability as the face of Carlton and the other half was for results on the field.

There is no doubt he has served Carlton well in the marketability stakes and given Carlton a squeaky clean record, and he has been paid for this service.

On the otherhand Carlton have stuggled on the field under his leadership, memberships have been hard to attract, questioning the power of his marketability, but the club has continued to commit to their part of the arrangement and paid his handsome salary accordingly (and Allison's commission...vomit!!).

The Kouta -Carlton relationship has been good for Kouta and good for Carlton, but mostly good for me. I don't know how I would have coped in the last 5 years not having him in the team or knowing that he will be returning from injury one day to help Carlton win a game. He's one of the all time favourites in Carlton, but for the whole football community, and that we're all proud of.

I know there is a lot left in this giant of a man, and he will continue to have something to offer this club for this season and the next.

What I would like to say to him is...

"Carlton has always done the right thing by you. They have made you marketable, and made you and your family a lot of money, and therefore you should reciprocate by playing like a giant of a man this year, leading this club like a ferocious leader, as you have never done before, and give this club a never say die image on and off the field and leave the 'nice and meek' one at home".

"The money you have been paid over the last 5 years has been such that Carlton has and will pay you in full, but I feel you have repaid Carlton only half over the last 5 years. The most important half...and that is on the field. You know that you haven't produced on the field what you have been paid to do. Injury from onfield sacrifices probably contributed to this. But to allow your Manager, Allison, to represent you as he has in the media recently with his antagonistic anti Carlton comments, is to allow comments to be made that are to the football club's detriment, and this goes against the spirit in which you have been employed as the Ambassador of Carlton".

Kouta should play on next year...and because of his below par impact on the field over the last 5 years, and for the damage his manager has done to this club, and he can thank his manager for the reason I believe:

Kouta owes Carltonians

THE EMPIRE WILL STRIKE BACK!! and I hope you enjoy the ride wuth us Kouta.

PS: you can leave your manager at the door
PSS: put a leash on him
PSSS: oh yes, and a muzzle

Says when he started was only earning $8000 and that he deserves all the money after generating a lot of money for the club through marketing

Says Kouta is not happy with continual reference to contract

Says he's on 'reasonable money at the moment'

I don't understand how he only earned $8000 in 1995 and the Usual Suspects will have a field day with that on Bigfooty.

Didn't start in 1995. That amount was probably when he was in junior development with Christou.

$8000 would have been a kings ransom to a kid back then.

Apart from the $8000 (per game ?) he was allegedly receiving in 1992 (16 years ago when cost of a meat pie at the footy was 85c), what else did he have to say? It is really important to me. Allison is in Sydney and if he's a turd as we think he is......well he is drumming for more business here, and we don't want anyone to be lead into the Alliquagmire!!

..............I've had blow ins (visitors) all afternoon....including ex Carlton players. I think they like the navy blue features of the house that suit the seaside setting, or that we always have a Carlton in the fridge....whatever.

I had a couple of contentious issues to discuss with Sydney based Carltonians.... Geez that shits me sometimes, just as it does on TC when we all get too serious of our importance and no one knows the facts/truth.......who gives a shit.......have another sip.

Well I tell you one thing, the suggestion of the West Sydney Blues didn't go down very well...I just baited...and bit my tongue to see the reaction. Not happy Col and mate (Demetr....how does that go???)

Expect a few more Carlton visitors on TC; they were impressed with the positves, but fuming with the negatives from the young ones when giving them a cross section of the input...suggesting that some are so aggressive they are on 'crack' and ....details, details. details, ....young ones don't need that sort of intimidation...typical passionate Carlton supporters' response who take no shit!....they do except the obvious that...

THE EMPIRE WILL STRKE BACK!!

I was listening to the interview on 3AW and I'm sure Allison said Kouta only earned $8000 in 1995. Only $8000 a game in 1995 as a 22 year old.

If Allison said that then he's bullshitting. Unless it was $8000 per game.

I think he meant $8000 a game.

With Elliott in charge I wonder how we were under the cap in 1995.

Since singing this disputed contract, Kouta has:-

won 2 x B&F's in 2001 & 2005
Runner up B&F in 2003
7th in 2004 (despite playing just 12 games)
& was injured for a full season in 2002.

+ has placed in the top 5 in the leauge for Clearances for 2001, 2003, 2005.

All this in a pissweak club with probably half a dozen or so players who give a damn.

Rewing 6 years.

Dave Allison rejects Carltons offer and signs Kouta up with the Magpies.
Or Essendon*? Or Brisbane? Or Sydney? Or West Coast? Or any other team that had a list that had some talent! Nobody would be arguing the price of Kouta if that were happening.

Chris Judd is a brilliant player - but it helps when he's got the likes of Cousins/Kerr/Cox & Fletcher helping him out.

Voss is another elite player worthy of a Million bucks a year - but assistance from the likes of Aka / Black / Power & Lappin doesn't hurt either!

How would Nick Riewoldt go without the likes of DalSanto / Harvey / Ball / Hayes sending pin point passes at him?

Take Chris Judd / Riewoldt / Voss or anybody else for that matter out of their teams and chuck them in the Carlton sides of 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and they would not have done any better than the achievments that Kouta has!

The supporters of Carlton are becomming more and more like Richmond suppoters everyday!

Those who have bagged him should hang your flower heads in shame. No really, you should! What a flower disgrace.
Kouta deserves another million just to put up with all your bullshit!

Take the last game at PP for the perfect example of just what Carlton means for Kouta. That wholse flower team should have gathered enough inspiration from those 16 premierships that were on the field before they took too it. The 100+ years of memorys and achievments that that ground holds. The heros and legends that have played the game before them.....................................yet one, JUST ONE player gave their all that day - and that was Kouta.

And yet here we are. The club is in a heap. We're in trouble. So what do we do? We look for somebody to take the blame. Elliot. Collins. Demeitriou. Pagan....................................yeah, makes sense to throw some of the blame onto one of the most HONEST PLAYERS EVER THO HAVE PULLED ON THE NAVY BLUE!

Kouta has more heart than any of you. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

No one player is ever greater than the club he represents........................although in the past few years - KOUTA has come close!

Don't give me that shit! What are you suggesting? That i think Kouta deserves more than the starving kids in Africa?

How did kids in Africa even get into this discussion?

We are talking about a player that is 100% about the Carlton Football club yet is getting shit hung on him by pissweak supporters!

What in the hell does Kouta, The CFC, or my god-damn money have to do with kids in Africa.

Keep to the subject and stop tossing up crap!
