I think we are OK in the fwd line. But Waite promises a lot and delivers little.
You know I keep hearing that our forward line is OK. We need a new ruckman, some more classy midfielders and extra strength in the backline. However, the way I see it our forward line is very, very ordinary (Fevola aside).
Fisher - He runs hard, takes numerous contested marks around the forward line (10 this week), but can not kick for nuts. He struggles to kick over 35 metres and is often wayward.
Waite - He is a prima donna. He prounces around the forward line like a cat. He takes numerous marks around the forward line (similar to Fish 9 this week), but consistently drops many marks that he should be taking. When the opposition has the ball he cat like abilities come into play again and he just curls up and goes to sleep. Is this guy fit at all?
Kouta - Enough said about Kouta already. He has been a champion, but the game has sadly passed him by. His turnovers today really cost us. Kouta should retire as if he plays next year it will get even more embarrassing.
Betts - Eddie tries hard. We all love Eddie. We love his chasing and we love his tackling. He had a gem of a tackle in the last quarter today. But Eddie goes missing too much for my liking.
Fev - An out an out champion. He is still a bit petulant, but I'll take the 8 goals from him anyday. A delight to watch.
Other bit players - Bryan (nice grab, but two easy misses), French (nice positioning, but missed a sitter), Lappin (nice game by Matty today, but his focus today was on goal assists).
That's it. So we need talent all over the ground.
