GWS your very keen on denigrating club greats arent you...
Denigrate club greats??? It's the club we follow not the bloody club greats.
These are guys who put their bodies on the line for the club, that love the club (despite what some may think) and i see no difference in our support to the carlton boys than to that of a richmond supporter at times...
Kouta along with Braddles and other greats of our club who have copped abuse by some of you for no good reason..
Braddles copped it because he wanted to play an extra year and because he had a different training regimen to other players... And this is a guy who was able to play on until 38, still reaching great heights and 16 years of service to our club...
I could go on and on...
Of course we support the team, but shouldnt we support the players who have been a vital cog in our team, especially at a time when were desperate for experience out on the park... If Kouta is such a bad role model do you think Denis Pagan would have been as glowing in his appraisals of Kouta as he has been...
Kouta has just played the 1 bad game against the hawks... I admit he wasnt great... But in previous weeks he has been more than handy out on the park..
And you're telling me just because im a fan of Kouta and im pleased he's playing on, i have a simplistic view of footy...
Thats bullshit!..
Yes simplistic. What constitutes a good game in your opinion? We need players that are prepared to put in 110% out on the field in order to be at the least, competitive. He barely raises a gallop and it has been this way for 5 seasons. Does not run, fails to chase, terrible disposal, lacks a voice and has shown no leadership whatosever.
If he loves the club as he claims, then the noble option for him would be to retire. He's taken the easy option and said, yeah, I can jog around, look dis-interested, get the odd hard ball get and pocket some cash in 2007.
Whereas, if he retired he'd be looked upon in a different light. If it's not for the money, then play for the love of the club, take 80k and show us how much the club really means to you. Even better, retire and let some young guys have an opportunity. Disgrace of a Captain!!!
We are the laughing stock of the all AFL clubs. Disregard what Wallace says in the press, behind closed doors, even that mob are having a hearty chuckle.
