GWS,
What do you actually know about leadership/motivation and instilling success in young elite athletes.
I am not talking about something you've read in a book. I am aksing you directly, what experience do you have in motivating/providing guidance to elite athletes?
OK, maybe it is a stretch to think that you have real involvement in motivating/ providing guidance to elite athletes.
What involvement do you have in anything "elite"? I'm not talking about being the best pen pusher, or bricklayer or car salesman, I'm talking about being in an elite environment?
If you don't have that experience with elite athletes, then your views are just puff and hot air along with most of us on this site.
You don't know what Kouta brings to the development of our young players. To bag him as you've done in the "Kouta re-signs for 2007" thread is very tough from behind your keyboard.

Ockham if you read my posts you'll find I'm not knocking what Kouta is capable of contributing I'm simply asking what it is that he provides that we can't get from others (French, Lappin, Fevola, Stevens, whoever).
And what is it that Kouta can contribute next year that he couldn't do by retiring and coming down to the club in his spare time to help out?
The best anyone's been able to come up with as an answer to those questions is that he inspires the young guys in the way he does some extra jogging outside the ground.
As for what I do? Not relevant in the slightest. This is a place for interested people to discuss their football club and its workings. If we were only allowed to comment on things we're personally involved in there wouldn't be a lot of posting now would there?
Curious this issue makes you feel the need to play the man not the ball. Not usually your style Ockham.
