I must admit I'm surprised how many are voting that they will not renew. Each to their own I guess.
I see most of them haven't given their reasons why. We've had more maybes than nos at this stage.
its nice to see the board in almost full agreement on something

AFAIK 10-15% is the 'normal' churn rate for memberships, so the figures on the poll so far are in that range, which is good I suppose.
Your right in your figures Jars (plus you forgot to mention that new membership rates are about the same), but you have to understand the membership of TC is more hard core than the norm, so I would suggest that a 10-15% drop as measured here would probably be more in the real world.
If I was running the club, I'd be a bit concerned about membership next year.
If they can have the same membership numbers next year, they would be rapt. I can't see that happening though.
I think were were 5,000 down this year, and I would expect the same (if not more) next year.
TC is a swilling pool of negative filth at the moment, I'm frankly surprised the figure is as low as the 10-15% range here.
If the club follow through on pushing the youth angle for the rest of the pre-season (which I expect to happen) I expect the membership numbers to be about the same.
There will be some gun new recruits, new board members and the renewed hope a new season brings.
If the club push the youth angle hard next year (ala Hawthorn 2005) the membership will accept that there will not be too many wins but look forward to seeing the young guns develop.
