I believe we have to place considerable pressure for this club to come clean about the real state of the club.
As members we deserve to know where the club lies financially .
We deserve the right to know how the clubs performance was assessed off field by the people administering it.
We deserve transparency as was promised to us.
If we dont place any pressure on this mob were just going to go backwards as they continue covering their own arse...
We didnt use to care.... because we thought the club was in good hands.
do we care now???
The only way this can happen now is for a new ticket to show their hand and challenge the existing board and part of their platform would be a committment to tell the members how it is once they are in.
Nobody wants a real shitfight except those clingging to power.
Unless we stir the hornets nest we will get status quo...
Alot of the people that would run against smorgon are businesspeople that wouldnt want to be involved in a public stoush against one of the ten most richest families in this country.
Tuesday was a last stand.
The money was promised...
A president was in the waiting....
A CEO was ready to jump on board...
A plan was put forward...
The board did not have unity in believing smorgon was the right man.
The AFL doesnt believe he or the CEO can lead us out of this...
And still he could have used his vote as the casting vote to save his arse...
Mathieson couldnt be bothered attending and it was doomed.
The guy is selfish!!.. he doesnt have the answers...but he is still happy and prepared to stay on and just continue to have us sucking money from the AFL as we compromise ourselves further .
thats where were at...!!
