So BV, ODN, you'd just take the money, no questions asked, allow them to possible flower the club up in new and innovative ways and move on.
I think I mentioned I was being a tad facetious. However, given our financial state, I'd be happy to put money number one, plan number two in the short term, if it meant keeping the administrators from moving in. Wouldn't you?

That just gives us more pain and over a longer term.
Really? If whoever is in control is doing a bad job, they are hardly going to lose $8m in the time it takes to get 100 signatures and call an EGM, in turn voting on a board spill.

Perhaps you would prefer we become someone else's plaything because they tipped the dough in? Maybe Smorgon could be your saviour?
Yes, I quite the idea of being a plaything. It's abundantly clear in everything I say and do. Will there be whips and condiments involved?

I'd much prefer a saviour with a plan and with money. Is that asking for too much?
I don't know ... is it? If the doomsayers are correct and we have the NAB about to beat down our door, I'll take the money now. If we can sustain ourselves with no money and a solid plan, fantastic. Would be even sweeter not to be indebted to these alleged benefactors. I have to say though, despite the fact that Smorgon and the other board members have been described as muppets, I believe there is some business acumen amongst them, and if they haven't been able to come up with a plan good enough to turn our fortunes around, I kind of figure it isn't an easy task ... or at least not as easy as is being made out.

Failing that I'll go with someone with a decent plan anyday over some turkey with a heap of dough, no idea and thoughts of personal playthings.
You are talking ideal world stuff though. How often do you get your cake and eat it too?
Smorgon might have a plan but doesn't give details. The new ticket might have a plan that makes the bank fall over themselves. They may not. There may be money men hiding in the bushes. There may not. I'm not sure we are in a position to wait until Mr Right comes along with the right deal. People are going to have to decide, without access to the actual facts of the matter, which evil is the lesser out of the limited options presented.
