I've never been a fan and have often critisized those who think that Heath Scotland had a great year last year. Based on stats - it was impressive - but stats aren't what they used to be and for the majority of the year he was unaccountable and indecisive with his football.
Heath was brought into the Carlton leadership group last year - for the simple purpose of it being another 'stat' that his lawyer could mention. Clever lawyer that - stated that his client had a desire to become a firefighter with the MFB after his football career - of course...

...you can't be one if you have a criminal record!
His latest misadventure is one that is still being investigated - and for his sake and the clubs, you'd hope that he doesn't have a case to answer...but with a couple of incidents hanging over his head, you'd think that being out at 5am in mid February would be the last thing he'd be thinking...obviously Heath doesn't think too much.
I'm proposing something similar to what Geelong are doing with Steve Johnson. The guy is a fruitloop and has talent to burn, but is only NOW starting to realise that this is it...if he doesn't lift his game - he'll be out on his arse...it's a befitting punishment, and the only one that seems to hit home with these guys.
Heath Scotland is not an integral part of this football side. His punishment should be to miss the opening NAB Cup game. It should also be to be kicked out of the leadership group. You cannot be a leader on field if your indiscretions off field are setting a poor example. Carlton need to wash its hands of Heath Scotland if this one ends back up in court. No more favours like last time..you're on your own Heath...shape up or ship out.
