If we could get Kosi then we could stick him at CHF and with Fev at FF Lance would be our 3rd forward.

I know this has been said in similar vain previously but we really, really, really NEED classy midfielders.
Lets face up to the reality:
Kouta - gone end of 2006
Campo - well and truly past his best, will be surprised if he's here in 2007
Lappin - 30yr old who fills gaps in our midfield from time to time, 2 yrs left
Hypothesising that Mitch Clark goes no.1 in this yrs draft, we will have the following tall/power forward options going forward:
Fev
Waite
Setanta
Clark
Hartlett (Could be defender, but can play forward)
Fisher
Raso
How many tallish, marking forward types do we need?
I agree with a previous poster that Lance would be beneficial in terms of providing guidance for this bunch but if we were to trade him, do a deal/bundle trade to get a gun midfielder.
With Kouta, Campo and Lappin nearly gone, what truly good midfielders are we left with - Stevens and Walker. Yeah, really competitive vs the good teams with 5-8 classy midfielders.
With the exception of Mitch Clark, the emphasis for this yrs drafts/trading has got to be MIDFIELDERS.
A Luke Power type over a Kosi type is much more beneficial. Midfielders first, then tall defender, then ruckman.
There, got it off my chest!
