Any of the training watchers...what's all this stuff about his preparation?

Is that to do with his injury or is its something else?

It seems to be the latter judging by the final comments.

The Age said something about him flying to Sydney to see the Mundine fight - That might be what it is all about

So Fev was in Sydney watching the Mundine fight, while also in South Yarra watching the same fight at the Bush Inn while getting drunk with Gehrig?!?!

Hmmm righto.

Campo likes the fights too....,

Russell Crowe fies to London to watch Tzyu and then flies to NYC and SHATTERS some Hispanic porters cheekbone with the phone... Crowe is on the news...

Fair dinkum!!!Fev goes to sydney to watch a fight and its news...!!!

The moral of the story is dont go to fights or something bad will happen...

A bit protective of fev are we? I think the issue raised was that Fev did not do everything in his power to treat his groin and be ready for the game. His preparation for the game was lacking and from the comments I've quoted below it seems to be an issue. There was 1 line about flying up to sydney to watch the fight - thats hardly a beat up but rather a statement of fact

Quote:
"We've spoken to Brendan about quality preparation, and I said to him, 'Where do you want to see yourself? Do you want to see yourself as an up-and-down footballer, an inconsistent footballer? Or do you want to see yourself as a very good footballer?'," Pagan said yesterday.

"I said the good players, the champions, train smarter and harder than the blokes they play against and that's why they're consistent and that's why they stand up all the time.

Quote:
Pagan yesterday said that Fevola's preparation last week had defied everything he valued, and that he had spoken to him after last Thursday's team meeting about the importance of training and how it separated champions from their opponents.

"What I said to him was, 'Brendan, this week you've defied the laws of AFL preparation and certainly everything that I value . . .' He looked at me and said, ' What if I kick six goals?' and I said, 'You'll be a genius'. That was the crux of the conversation."

Given that Pagan came out last week and said that the reason the side was struggling was because of the loss of Thorton and Livo through injury and the team structure was all wrong . He then proceeds to drop Livo the next game. Does it then mean when he comes out as says Fevola is a required player next year that he is really saying . Piss off Fevola we dont want you????????
